Mark Zuckerberg Plans to Integrate AI into Meta's Messaging Services

No one wants to be left behind when it comes to embracing the power of artificial intelligence (AI). From addressing doubts to simulating impossible scenarios, internet users and businesses are constantly experimenting with this technology.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, recognizes that his platforms, WhatsApp and Messenger, will eventually need to incorporate AI into their messaging services. That's why he is already envisioning this new functionality.

AI into Meta's Messaging Services

According to international media reports, the American programmer has informed his employees about his intention to create a chatbot that would enable users to engage in intelligent conversations or interact with AI.

What nobody expected was how these two technologies managed to impress Bill Gates. "Last year, we witnessed incredible qualitative advancements in generative AI, and this gives us the opportunity to take this technology, push it forward, and embed it in each of our products," Zuckerberg stated in a recent press release.

In this manner, instant messaging applications will add an informational aspect to privacy by incorporating AI through the creation of a linguistic model similar to ChatGPT.

How will this service work? As Zuckerberg explained, it will involve chatbots with different personalities that will assist users in conducting research, writing, or engaging in conversations. Moreover, the new feature will not only serve practical purposes but also provide entertainment as each personality will be tailored to individual needs and preferences.

While the exact timeline for the availability of this service remains uncertain, the incorporation of AI into Meta's applications is a definite plan. A few days ago, Meta's Vice President, Ahmad Al-Dahle, announced the development of an intelligence system to create custom text-based stickers for the Instagram social network.

"With AI-generated stickers, our users will have infinitely more options for personal expression, cultural representations, and even trends. Of course, stickers are just the tip of the iceberg," the entrepreneur declared.
