Mercedes will take a step back from the massive artificial intelligence mode and integrate ChatGPT into her tools.
Artificial intelligence in the automotive industry is nothing new. Tesla has been on the run for a long time, with a few missteps, while a manufacturer like Ford wants an IA capable of driving in your place. Mercedes attempts to embark on an adventure with a less ambitious, but undoubtedly more interesting, venture.
In fact, the German giant announced that the phenomenon ChatGPT will be used to power its vocal assistant, "Hey Mercedes." This will enable users to interact naturally with an IA rather than just receiving pre-programmed responses to a set number of commands.
The trial is currently scheduled to last for three months, depending on how many of the brand's vehicles are operating in the USA. But Mercedes has already said to think about a longer-term, more significant deployment that might also be perened.
Ideally, the designer would like the driver to be able to make a reservation while still keeping both hands on the wheel while obtaining critical information such as specifics about his or her destination. Things that people do today include pulling out their smartphones while driving, endangering both themselves and other drivers. Therefore, is the smartphone flying problem finally going away?
